The Inks have it!

Well, it looks like it was a landslide in favor of inking. There was an idea to use a blue sharpie on the crystal dice that I liked, I'm hoping that'll "agree" with the crystal better than basic black. For my black set of dice, I'm going to try traditional white crayon and see how that goes.

I'll post some pics when I'm done!

  2. Oh, yeah...I like that white on black, very classic, very elegant.

  3. Wow, I'm so late to this party I'll just say that I tried crayon on a few singles I picked up at my FLGS and they're just messy. Jeff Reints had a great tutorial though and I think I may redo mine.

  4. Ah, thanks for those links, Jay! I remembered Jeff's tutorial but not the Gamescience writeup.

Lou's a cool guy, I used to like chatting with him weekly back when I was collecting oop Judges Guild stuff and he was the only way to get it (pre-Ebay heh).

  5. No! Don't use crayon, your dice will end up looking like something found on a dead hobo!

  6. I think the crayons used for dice back in the day were a softer variety. Ordinary wax crayons may not work very well.

  7. I used crayon on my yellow set. It worked far better for me than sharpie. The sharpie was a nightmare as I couldn't wipe it off fast enough. Even though the crayon was hard to buff off of the faces it at least came off and the set looked good when done.
