Lazy Blog Post - Edward Gorey

One of my favorite artists. If you've never read his stuff, Amphigorey is a great place to start.

  1. He was a one-off. I especially like The Gashlycrumb Tinies. "N is for Neville who died of ennui." Genius.

  3. Oddly, I've been planning a post on his tarot-style "Fantod Deck" as an alternate Deck of Many Things for my Dwarf-Land setting. Definitely a fan.

  4. Love the top photo! That's Thomas on the newspaper, Jane on the blanket, & looks like Charles on EG's lap. For more behind-the-scenes, see my new book Edward Gorey Plays Cape Cod: Puppets, People, Places, & Plots (www.Boom-Books.com) -- Carol

  7. That's definitely Gorey's Dracula, although I can't remember if it's from an illustrated edition of the book itself or the concept work he did for a stage production.

  8. Thank you for some other informative blog. Where else could I get that type of information written in such an ideal means? I have a mission that I’m just now working on, and I have been at the look out for such information. gate motor

  9. Being a vampire is not what it seems like. It’s a life full of good, and amazing things. We are as human as you are.. It’s not what you are that counts, but how you choose to be. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable? To have wealth, health, and longevity? contact the vampires creed today via email: Richvampirekindom@gmail.com
