I've always been a fan of the various Death Dealer paintings, arguably one of Frazetta's most iconic characters. Characters like this exemplify Sword & Sorcery to me, mainly due to his obvious moral ambiguity. Yeah, he's hacking apart some foul-looking lizard-ghouls there, but he's no knight in shining armor himself. Is he defending a village from the horde's deprivations, or are they merely in the way of him picking up some extra coin?
I vote they're in the way of a wench. Standing on a pile of coin.
