As a total aside, Al, and not to make it sound like it's specific to pictures of beautiful women, I just wanted to tell you that your blog is awesome. :)
I do like Amy Pond. I think it's horrible that the scene that best defined her, from the first episode, was cut from the BBCA airings after the first showing. The Doctor asks here to help save the world in the next 20 minutes...and she says no! Completely in the opposite direction of every previous companion I can think of since the Tom Baker era.
Echoing Matt's statement, I just wanted to let you know your blog is one of the few everyday musts for me. If I've gone a few days without reading the blogs, like I have now while moving, yours is one I make sure to scour through.
I can't stand Dr. Who or anything related, but I just wanted to thank you for your blog and most especially your BtBG compendium (it's material, a good bit of it has seen 'action' at my table). It's much appreciated.
I love her on screen, but is it just me or is there a certain, unhinged quality to her eyes?
ReplyDeleteIt's because she only has one acting expression which is to open her eyes REALLY wide and assume that covers all emotional bases.

ReplyDeleteEli, she does come across as a bit mental in interviews and the behind-the-scenes videos, so yes, "unhinged" is right.
ReplyDeleteNah. She's not unhinged. She's just a typical high spirited Scots lassie with an awesome sense of humour.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to get me beaten in the streets, but I just don't really care for the character of Amy Pond.
ReplyDeleteAs far as Karen Gillian, I don't know the girl, so I can't say anything other that she's attractive.

ReplyDeleteSo, she won me over at that point.
I Like Her! :)

ReplyDeleteWhoops meant to edit not delete;
ReplyDeleteYes I liked her a lot in most episodes, but I think this will be her last season and River Song will be stepping in full time soon...
One of my favourite characters, and Karen herself seems lovely and a bit barmy. And it's on tonight! Yippee!

Not a fan of Doctor Who, but she is definitely an attraction to watch.
