Love the top photo! That's Thomas on the newspaper, Jane on the blanket, & looks like Charles on EG's lap. For more behind-the-scenes, see my new book Edward Gorey Plays Cape Cod: Puppets, People, Places, & Plots (www.Boom-Books.com) -- Carol
That's definitely Gorey's Dracula, although I can't remember if it's from an illustrated edition of the book itself or the concept work he did for a stage production.
Thank you for some other informative blog. Where else could I get that type of information written in such an ideal means? I have a mission that I’m just now working on, and I have been at the look out for such information. gate motor
Being a vampire is not what it seems like. It’s a life full of good, and amazing things. We are as human as you are.. It’s not what you are that counts, but how you choose to be. Do you want a life full of interesting things? Do you want to have power and influence over others? To be charming and desirable? He was a one-off. I especially like The Gashlycrumb Tinies. "N is for Neville who died of ennui." Genius.
ReplyDeleteGreat, bizarre and inspiring stuff! Like it! :D

ReplyDeleteOne of my faves as well.
